My apologies....
I have to admit that time got the best of me and I did not have my web sale on the 2nd as planned. I have rescheduled it for Monday the 10th at 6pm PST.
There will be a ruffly snow girl, a tree topper somewhat like this one from last year, a Santa or two and who knows what else.
Thank you for all the sweet emails about my absence.

A rainy day...
Nothing like a dark sky and a whole lot of rain to make you want to buckle down and do some
sewing.
With weather like this the snow people are feeling very much at home.

2013 already?
No, it's not 2013 yet, but believe it or not....planning has begun!
I will be teaching at Terri Brush's Art Camp in the Fall of 2013
in Lincoln City, OR.
Special guest attendees are Kim Caldwell of Artistic Affaire
and
Christen Olivarez, Director of Publishing-Stampington & Co.
The cool thing about this event, and what makes it very different, is that the students and instructors all stay together in a couple of beach houses. Where you lay your head each night (or nap during the day), food (including the preparation of it) is included in your sign up. The extended weekend is very laid back and casual. I've been wanting to attend this camp for quite a while so I'm really excited.
Sign ups are going on now!
Terri always sells out quickly so if you have wanted to attend, now is the time!

A talented bunch....
I recently had the honor of teaching a class at Lisa Super's place.
The gals that came to play were super creative and talented.
They worked hard throughout the day.
And their finished pieces were incredible.
I had such a great time being around all these ladies that were oozing happiness and creativity.
Thanks Lisa!

And I couldn't be more excited.
Meeting up with these 3 lovely ladies

LOTS of giggles and staying up late.
My art supplies are packed...
My donation to the "giveaway' is complete...(yay)
My roommate goodies are packed...
But still SO MUCH TO DO TODAY.
Like put together a care schedule for this little girl (and the big boys too).
And celebrate this guys 14TH birthday tonight.
Although he doesn't look much like this anymore...

Be back soon to share lots of photos and memories made.

Change of plans....
I am all about change.
Whether it's moving the furniture around in the house, going out to dinner when I promised I'd cook or teaching a class when I didn't have it in the plan.
Change is good!!
If you receive my newsletters you know I decided to take a little break from teaching for most of this year. I really wanted and needed to concentrate on some personal things I needed to get done (all good stuff).
But....when Lisa Super invited me to be a guest teacher in her wonderful studio I jumped at the opportunity. It's super close to home and it's sharing something I love to share. Sweet little Spring time birds.
We will be sculpting, painting, aging and dressing these fun little tweets. A great afternoon at a place.
For those of you who don't know Lisa she is a super talent. She currently plays the part of a Bon Vivante for Somerset Life and has been published more times than I can count (including being the cover girl for a recent issue of Somerset Life).
So if you are interested in playing clay and dress up come join us on May 19 at Lisa's place in Fremont, CA.
You can email me Colleen.Moody@Yahoo.com
or Lisa VintageHandmade@gmail.com
for more information.

Double the Goodness
A couple of Saturday's ago I was one of a few very lucky gals that was able to take a class from the uber talented Debby Anderson of Romancing the Bling. It was a "double goodness day" because the class took place at Lisa Super's home. If you don't know Debby or Lisa....you need to get to know them.
Quick!!
Super talented.
Super sweet.
Super knowledgeable.
Super fun.
This is what we made. In the first 15 minutes I learned quite a few new things. Class could have been over right then and there and I would have been a happy camper.
Laura Himm and Debby Anderson |
Not only does Debby make the most gorgeous jewelry....she is also a fantastic teacher. Super patient (which is important when I am a student), clear in her instructions and always happy to help.
Shawn Street and Lisa Super |
These were 2 of my table mates. Shawn was awfully quiet as she worked at her wire wrapping and beading. Little did we know that she was constructing a true pink masterpiece.
Lisa chose to use a photo of her Grandma as her centerpiece. This really made her piece one of a kind and quite sentimental.
~~
So....this is a shot of part of Lisa's studio.
I know....RIGHT?
A darling little old shopping cart.
Can I have one too?
This child sized mannequin would not fit in my purse....darn it!
I would love to own one....sigh...some day.
Check out those tiny spectacles hanging over the side of the jar. Love 'em!
For me....this sums up Lisa's studio. The best of all worlds I do believe.
Silver
Crown
Pearls
Flowers
A sweet dolly
all within the back drop of silver glitter.
Sign me up!!
Her inspiration wall.
If you ever have the opportunity to take a class from Debby or Lisa....do it! Don't dawdle at sign ups or you will miss the boat.
It was such a great day in a gorgeous setting.
Thanks Lisa and Debby!!

Oh Happy Day....
And a Happy Valentine's Day To You!
I don't see Valentine's Day as a day for "couples". Valentine's Day is a day to show anyone and everyone how much you care.
My sweetie pie boys surprised me with these beautiful pink (my fave color) roses for me. They included an extra funny....and quite appropriate card....which I adore! I love it when they put their heads together (and their wallets) to do something nice for some one. So sweet.
WHERE HAVE I BEEN?
I know!!
It's crazy!!
Time has just slipped by and I absolutely love it....although I am itching to get back to work.
I have been BUSY!! More details later....
But for now
Happy Hearts, Hugs and Kisses Day!
