I Love White!
White is so soothing. It is calm and quiet. When we set out to remodel our kitchen a couple of years ago I wanted all white. All white with a dark floor. As you can see from the pictures...it didn't quite turn out that way. I guess that is the chance you take when you have something done "custom"...but guess what? I'm glad those cabinets I ordered with the White paint and brown glaze over them didn't turn out as planned. What I got is rich and beautious!! Sometimes things happen for a reason. My island was SUPPOSED to be much lighter. A green no less, but a much lighter green. Sooo...those white chairs were SUPPOSED to look really good with it and guess what??? THEY DON'T!! So I am in the process of sanding them down and painting them black. I think that will be a better look...don't you?

I LOVE your kitchen Colleen!! And I do agree, that the chairs will look better in black! It's lovely...and your cabinet's look great in that color I think!

The pictures don't do it justice!! It's such a great space. Now you need to show us all your collections in your cabinets, etc. I'm bringing a large handbag next visit. You don't check bags at the door do you??

Very pretty, but you are white the chairs need ot be another color. I can't wait to see them when you are done painting them.

i finally made it over here! you have been very busy...will ad you to my blog.. and i went with a wood top black table legs and chairs and bench in our dining/kitchen, then pulled in more black pieces here and there..you can see parts of my kitchen alot as its where i do all my photos!tried to see whats in your cabinets! ha!

Clorox and white with little boys around is the only solution!
Your kitchen turned out great, but I think you are right, and I would change the chair's color too. But, they sure are nice chairs and fit the kitchen well. How pretty.
