I got a new computer.
I didn't want a new computer.
I thought my old computer was just fiiiiine.
But then it started doing stuff. Bad stuff. The husband would just look....tsk tsk tsk....and shake his head. But no....it was "ok" I told him....my computer was just having a bad day. But then it happened. The obvious, the inevitable, all the signs were there.
I am not a techno gadget girl. I could use the same phone for years, the same computer for forever and if it weren't for the husband I would probably still be listening to cassette and eight track tapes. I will say however....I couldn't live without my GPS. But back to the computer. I decided if I had to get a new one I was going for a MAC. Hmmmm....so far it's like it/love it/hate it. You know how that is. I have had fun putting names on faces in Iphoto....I think that is so super cool. And I finally took the plunge and signed up for Skype. It's just like hanging out with your girlfriend except you are in two different places. Chatty ~ chatty ~ chatty ~ giggle ~ giggle. I haven't installed photo shop yet so I still can't figure out how to re-size a snap in Iphoto and just trying to find the darn pics to upload here....Aye Yie Yie....that was 3 days work!! But I'm getting there...
I've got some fun news to announce....soon. But I've got some work to get done first. Back to it.
Happy Thursday!

You're going to love your Mac!!! And no need for Skype you have iChat!! Unless of course your girlfriends aren't Mac Girls yet. I'm tellin ya, you're gonna love it!!
Skype is so cool!! Alex has been talking to his girlfriend back on the mainland on it while we are in Hawaii!! xoxo see ya soon!!!
LOL..I can not tell you how many times I've had the exact same conversation with my husband..he would go online to read the paper and say "something's up with the computer"..and I would yell...."It's just having a bad day!"...."maybe you should read the paper late"...I was in complete and total denial...until my very computer savy son reminded me of what would happen if "she" passed on...without my being prepared for the sad occasion...I was a bit scared then..So I reluctantly purchased another computer for when "she" finally did pass on...which happened not all that long ago.....but all seems to be okay now..slowly but surely I've muttled through :) Anyway...glad to hear you are getting use to your Mac..I hear they are wonderful..hoping to have one someday soon myself.
Wishing you a lovely day,
Doreen
ps..so sorry to have rambled on so!
I still hate my IMAC after almost a year! You have to search online to get help, it's not intuitive. Once you get commands down, like control Q to quit something, or is that command Q yes, I think so. and command Z to undo something you just did, it gets easier. But I bought Aperture and still have no idea how to use it. I hope you are a better nerd/geek than me. Pam
